Danielle Ballik - BSC PT, CHT

Physiotherapist, Certified Hand Therapist

Danielle embarked on her journey in the field of physiotherapy after graduating from the Masters of Physiotherapy program at the University of British Columbia in 2011. Prior to this, she obtained a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry, and delved into various roles including researcher in biology laboratories, kinesiologist, and personal trainer at a private gym. It was through her active lifestyle and personal encounters with sports injuries that Danielle developed a profound appreciation for the transformative impact of physiotherapy on individuals' lives. Motivated by her own experiences, she resolved to become a physiotherapist to aid others in their journey towards injury recovery and optimal physical health.

Post-graduation, Danielle garnered extensive experience across several private practice clinics in the greater Vancouver area, eventually settling in Squamish. Here, she specializes in treating patients and athletes afflicted with a spectrum of work-related, motor vehicle accident, and sports-related injuries.

Her passion for hand therapy blossomed during her tenure as a kinesiologist in a physiotherapy clinic, where she was introduced to this specialized field. Under the guidance of Peter Sharpe, CHT, Danielle immersed herself in hand therapy, eventually culminating in her successful completion of the certified hand therapy exam in spring 2017.

Since relocating to Squamish in 2012, Danielle has fully immersed herself in the diverse range of outdoor pursuits available in the region, including mountain biking, skiing, kiteboarding, rock climbing, and mountaineering. An avid dog lover, she furthered her expertise by completing a Diploma in Canine Rehabilitation, extending her healing touch to our beloved four-legged companions.

In addition to her professional pursuits, Danielle finds joy in her role as a mother to a delightful little girl. She currently practices at the Alpine Hand Clinic in Squamish, where she eagerly awaits the opportunity to assist individuals in overcoming hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder injuries, alongside offering comprehensive care for all other orthopedic concerns. With a commitment to excellence and a compassionate approach, Danielle is dedicated to guiding her patients towards a path of recovery and restored vitality.

Danielle works Mondays and Wednesdays.

Testimonial:

“Danielle has been fantastic for my son to rehab his thumb before and after minor surgery. She's recommended and made special braces and given him exercises to do in an easy to follow and professional/calm manner. My son is very comfortable with her and the ongoing support has been great! Highly recommend Danielle and the Alpine Hand Clinic.”
